Moniuszki 8 – Warsaw’s historic gem gets a new lease of life from LivUp

LivUp has begun a unique revitalisation project at 8 Moniuszki Street in Warsaw – a place that has gone down in the city’s history as the home of the legendary Café Adria. This is the first revitalisation project in our portfolio and one of the most prestigious projects undertaken by the company in Poland.

The project involves the comprehensive reconstruction and extension of the historic building and a change in its function from office and service space to residential space. On six residential floors with a total area of approx. 2,600 sq m, 65 units will be created for institutional rental, designed in accordance with LivUp’s proprietary standard, which focuses on the quality of everyday life, aesthetics and the experience of residents. An integral part of the investment will also be expanded common areas and service and catering premises with a total area of approx. 1,200 sq m.

“Moniuszki 8 will combine the history of Warsaw modernism with a modern standard of living in the city centre. This is the first revitalisation project in our portfolio, and our goal is to restore the building to its former glory while respecting its unique heritage and making it available in the form of comfortable, functional, beautifully designed flats for rent. The commercial part is also an important element of the investment. We see great potential in this space as an attractive location for retail and catering operators, which will not only increase the value of the project but also have a positive impact on the surrounding area. Carefully selected commercial tenants will help breathe new life into the building and give it a broader context and urban character,” says Shay Baruch, CEO of LivUp.

Construction work began in August 2025 and is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027. Techbau is the general contractor for the investment.
